How to Heal Your Varicose Veins Naturally

In the United States, more than half of women, and over 40 percent of men, experience some type of vein problem.  Half of people over 50 years old are afflicted with varicose veins. Varicose veins are a health problem, and beyond that, they are irritating and unsightly.

Varicose veins look much like cords that twist and bulge, often protruding above the surface of the skin. They can be blue, red or flesh colored.  Then tend to appear on the thighs, backs of the calves, or the inside of the leg. Some pregnant women suffer from varicose veins around the vagina and buttocks.

Weak and damaged valves in the veins are often the cause of varicose veins.  Blood filled with oxygen and nutrients travels to the entire body through the arteries, propelled by the action of the heart. The blood is returned to the heart through the veins. The muscles in the leg squeeze and push blood back to the heart against the flow of gravity.  Those valves within the veins are one-way flaps that prevent the blood from flowing backwards. If they weaken, blood leaks back into the veins and collects there, a situation known as venous insufficiency. As the blood pools in the veins, they enlarge and become varicose.

These are the contributing factors to varicose veins:

  • Genetics
  • Aging
  • Lack of exercise
  • Sudden hormonal changes
  • Movement restrictions

While traditional medicine offers a variety of treatments, there is also a natural remedy that fights the cause of varicose veins and reduces the symptoms. The remedy is easy to make, and the ingredients are easily available from any local health store or supermarket.

The remedy is a mixture of Aloe Vera, carrot and apple cider vinegar. Here is the recipe to make it, and instructions for its use:

  • ½ cup of chopped carrots
  • ½ cup of aloe vera
  • Apple cider vinegar

Blend together the chopped carrots and the aloe vera in a blender. While those two ingredients are blending, add some apple cider vinegar, and continue blending until the mixture is the consistency of cream.

How to use it:

Apply the mixture to the affected areas of the legs, and then put your feet up for 30 minutes. After half an hour has passed, wash the mixture off your legs with cold water. For best results, you need to use this mixture a few times daily.

Note: Take short walks every day to improve your blood circulation.
