3 Magic Ingredients in One Great Remedy

An old German folk remedy is gaining popularity among modern health enthusiasts. The remedy consists of three powerful ingredients, acknowledged today as super-foods. The three are ginger, garlic, and lemon. Taken together, they may cure clogged arteries, regulate fats in the blood, and treat colds and infections.

Proponents of this remedy say people who suffer from clogged arteries will gain the most benefit. However, this drink will also boost immunity, defend against infections, improve liver function, regulate blood lipids, and prevent fatigue. It also fights off free radicals.

Each of the three ingredients plays a vital role in the healing potential of this drink:

Ginger is known for its powerful anti-inflammatory properties. Inflammation underlies the development of many health conditions, including cardiovascular disease, cancer, diabetes and Alzheimer’s Disease.

Garlic is known as a natural remedy for colds, because of its strong antibacterial qualities. It bolsters the immune system, so the body can fight off infection.

Lemons prevent the so-called “bad” cholesterol from adhering to the artery walls, which lowers bad cholesterol levels. Improved artery health promotes increased blood flow and prevents heart attacks. Lemons also defend against bacteria.

The 3-Ingredient Remedy

2 liters filtered water
Fresh ginger root (3-4 centimeters)
4 large garlic bulbs
4 lemons, unpeeled

Wash and slice the lemons. Separate the garlic cloves and peel them. Peel the ginger and cut a piece three or four centimeters long. Blend the three ingredients together.

Add the two liters of water to the blended mixture, and bring it to a boil while stirring continuously. Remove the mixture from the stove and let it cool. Finally, strain the mixture and put it into glass bottles.

Enjoy this remedy on a daily basis. Drink it in the morning before breakfast, or two hours before a meal. Shake well before using. The strong odor of the garlic is neutralized by the lemon, the dilution in water and the cooking process.
